Tree of Life Cabinas is an eco-friendly, boutique cabina property and more, located in the Costa Ballena region of Costa Rica on the southern Pacific coast.  Our 4 acre property sits nestled in the jungle on the mountain of Escalares, with cool mountain breezes and beautiful sunset ocean views from every Cabina.  

 

     Our Cabinas have been designed to appeal to modern taste in a tropical environment - clean, simple lines, polished concrete floors and luxury amenities are combined with bright, vivid colours inspired by the natural surroundings and Costa Rican culture.  On your private terrace enjoy the convenience of our new kitchens complete with coffee maker, gas cook top, fridge, toaster and all you need to prepare a delicious and healty snack or full meal. (as of March 2020 we no longer offer breakfast service)

     Each Cabina is a separate 500 sq ft guest house and offers the following amenities in the bed, bathroom and terrace areas:  beds and patio furniture hand-made by a local artisan, hammock, spacious vanity room, indoor / outdoor shower, walk-in closet, private toilet room, hair dryer, plush towels and luxury linens, and complimentary wireless internet access.  

 

     While relaxing by the pool, reading in your hammock on your own covered terrace and enjoying a delicious home-cooked meal, we hope you also take time to enjoy our lush tropical gardens.  A mix of tropical ornamentals and Costa Rican native species, everything has been chosen to be beautiful while also attracting local wildlife such as jewel-like hummingbirds, toucans, butterflies and monkeys.  We also grow many of our own fruits that you may help yourself to when in season.

 

Please note the following restrictions and booking process:

 

     No pets accepted.  We have 3 dogs (Ginger, Barney and Chispa - our security system) and a cat (Starbuck - organic pest control) on property.  They are friendly and social, so feel free to pretend like they are yours while you are here.  You may also shoosh them away if you do not feel like furry company.

 

     Children 14 & over gladly accepted - 13 and under by approval only.  

 

     2 guests maximum per cabina strictly enforced. Extra guests not accepted without permission

     

     Check in time after 2:00pm (Please let us know your arrival time in advance)

     Checkout time 10:00am

 

     50% deposit required - reservation will not be considered confirmed until deposit is received.
